Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz News Release

The Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz take on the Rio Grande Valley Dorados, Friday, May 1st, at the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City, OK. Kickoff is set for 7:35pm CST. Friday's contest marks the tenth time the teams will face off. Oklahoma City leads the all-time series 5-4.

With last weeks 41-28 win over division rival Amarillo Dusters, the Yard Dawgz reached their best start in franchise history at 4-0. Oklahoma City held Amarillo to under 30 points for the second time this season. The Yard Dawgz will now shift their focus to the visiting Rio Grande Valley Dorados in what will be the last game in a four game home stand for Oklahoma City.

"This will be a big test for the Dawgz," commented Head Coach Sparky McEwen. "Rio Grande Valley is playing some of the best ball in the league right now."

The Yard Dawgz defense will have its work cut out as they will try and stop Dorados QB Nick Hill, second in the league in total offense per game (303.2), and WR Rodney Windsor, second in af2 in receiving yards per game (145.8). However putting up great yardage numbers won't always translate into points, as the Dawgz allow only 38.2 points per game, second best in af2.

All Yard Dawgz games are broadcast live on 105.3 ESPN Deportes. All broadcasts are in English. Internet broadcasts of all Yard Dawgz games can be viewed by visiting www.niftytv.com.

Yard Dawgz single game tickets are on sale, starting at only $10! The Yard Dawgz Block Party will begin at 5:00 PM on Reno and kickoff is scheduled for 7:35 PM. For additional information, please call (405) 228-3294 or visit www.okcyarddawgz.com.
