
Yard Dawgz Collect 'Toys for Tots'

OKLAHOMA CITY - Fans of the Yard Dawgz arena football team can help the local "Toys for Tots" program and receive a single game voucher to the Yard Dawgz home opener on April 5th, 2008, versus the Arkansas Twisters.
Donated toys should be new and unwrapped and will be collected during the Yard Dawgz Holiday Open House on December 13th at the Ford Center, from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Other events at the Open House include a special appearance by Santa Claus and an introduction of the Yard Dawgz new ownership group, coaching and front office staffs, dance team, and mascots. The franchise will also unveil their new team logo, with merchandise and season tickets available for purchase.
Toys for Tots is a program of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve that distributes toys as Christmas gifts to needy children within the community in which the campaign is conducted.
The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, an IRS recognized 501(c) (3) not-for-profit public charity, is the authorized fund raising and support organization for the Toys for Tots Program. Each year, thousands of toys are collected throughout the months of October, November, and December and are given to needy children in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.
