OKLAHOMA CITY - The Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz have be assigned QB Evan Gray by the arenafootball2 league office. Gray spent the 2007 season with the Stockton Lightning where he averaged 276.1 passing yards/game, third in the af2.
Gray (6'0, 205) went 264-for-485 with 3,589 passing yards during his rookie season with the Lightning (2007). He collected 76 TDs and holds the team record for most passing yards in a single game (393). Gray averaged 276.1 passing yards/game, third in the af2, and had only 16 interceptions during the season.
During his collegiate career at the University of Missouri - Rolla (2003-2005), Gray broke 17 individual program records in just three seasons and recorded five games with 400 passing yards or more. His senior year, Gray registered a career-high and school-record 39 touchdown passes and threw for a career-high and program-record 3,583 yards on 302-for-525. He is the school's all-time leader in total offense (5,469 yards) and is ranked sixth in NCAA Division-II for individual total offense (318.1)
Gray will challenge QB Josh Stewart during training camp, set to begin in March 2008.
