Xplosion To Host Hines Ward Appreciation Night December 28

PITTSBURGH, December 18, 2007 - The Pittsburgh Xplosion today announced that their December 28 game at the Petersen Events Center has been tabbed 'Hines Ward Appreciation Night.' The Xplosion will honor Ward for his accomplishments on the field, including his team record 64th touchdown reception earlier this season.

Presentations will be made by the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, the Xplosion, and other special guests.

The Xplosion's opponent that night will be the Yakama Sun Kings. The defending CBA champions currently sit in first place with a perfect 13-0 record. The Sun Kings are led by former NBA players Moochie Norris (Houston, New York), Jason Sasser (San Antonio), and Desmond Ferguson (Portland).

The Xplosion feature three former University of Pittsburgh players. Antonio Graves currently sits in seventh place in scoring in the CBA. John DeGroat ranks fourth in the league in rebounding, while point guard Carl Krauser averages 8.5 points and 4.5 assists.

Tickets for all city and county employees will be half-priced. The Xplosion will also host the Sun Kings December 27.
