
Xplosion to hold open dance team and cheerleader tryouts Saturday

PITTSBURGH, November 21, 2006 - The Pittsburgh Xplosion professional basketball team will hold open try-outs for women interested in joining the Continental Basketball Association club's "Bomb Squad" dance team and cheerleading squad on Saturday, November 25 at 10:00 AM at the Club 4 Life in Monroeville, Pa.
Potential candidates must be at least 18 years of age and a high school graduate. Bomb Squad and cheerleading team members will be expected to perform high-energy, fast paced dance routines. Both spirit squads will make personal appearances on behalf of the Pittsburgh Xplosion, supporting various games and events throughout the year.

The Club 4 Life in Monroeville, Pa. serves as the Pittsburgh Xplosion's training and practice facility. The team opens its 2006-07 Continental Basketball Association season at Albany on December 1 and plays its home opener versus the Indiana AlleyCats at Mellon Arena on Wednesday, December 6.
