Xplosion Support Carnegie Library Reading Extravaganza

PITTSBURGH, June 5, 2007 - The Pittsburgh Xplosion professional basketball team encourages its fans throughout Western Pennsylvania to pick-up a book this summer and will team up with Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh to kick-off the season at the 7th Annual Summer Reading Extravaganza on Sunday, June 10 at the Carnegie Library on Forbes Avenue in Oakland.

The Reading Extravaganza is a free community-wide celebration of reading, including games, entertainment, activities and more. Members of the Xplosion will be on hand to sign autographs, take pictures and meet and greet families from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the lawn of the Main Library in Oakland. After the Extravaganza, Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh and libraries in Allegheny County will continue to offer special programs throughout the summer months.
