
Xplosion Rally To Split Series With Butte

PITTSBURGH, November 22, 2007 - Led by Odell Bradley's 27 points, the Pittsburgh Xplosion defeated the Butte Daredevils, 106-102, tonight at the Petersen Events Center.
The game remained close until the closing minutes, but a pair of timely three pointers kept the Daredevils at arm's length. Shaun Fountain's three with 2:31 to play doubled the Xplosion lead to 99-93, and Antonio Graves' shot with 1:22 left extended the lead to 102-94. Butte (2-2) did win the fourth quarter point, but the Xplosion (2-2) won the total quarter points, 5-2.
The Daredevils committed seven first quarter turnovers on the way to losing the quarter to Pittsburgh, 29-23. Butte buckled down in the second quarter, as they outscored the Xplosion 24-8 through the first nine minutes of the period. Butte started the quarter on an 8-2 run, fueled by a pair of three pointers as the shot clock ran out by Aaron Cook and Jason Miller.
Butte's lead got as big as seven, but the Xplosion cut the deficit to one with an Odell Bradley three-point play with 0.2 left in the half. Butte won the second quarter 25-18.
The Xplosion came back to win the third quarter, 34-25, behind Graves' 11 points after he had just two in the first half.
Pittsburgh had six men in double figures, including John DeGroat's 22 points and seven rebounds.
