Pittsburgh Xplosion News Release

PITTSBURGH, December 14, 2006 - The Pittsburgh Xplosion professional basketball team made several moves on Thursday, announcing the signing of Frank Barr to a contract for the 2006-07 season and releasing Harry Good and Marc Williams. Forward Greg Jenkins is scheduled to return from the injured reserve list on Saturday.

A seven-foot, 220-pound forward from Upper Darby, Pa., Barr joins the Xplosion after spending the 2005-06 season overseas with Al Manama in Bahrain. The 2001 graduate of Lafayette College stands second in Leopards' history with 160 career blocks and also ranks among the program leaders in rebounding. He played professionally in Saudi Arabia during the 2003-04 season and briefly played for Xplosion General Manager Freddie Lewis as a member of the Pennsylvania Pit Bulls in 2004-05.

The Pittsburgh Xplosion will return to action on Monday December 18 at 7:05 PM against the Minot Skyrockets at Mellon Arena. Featuring a "Black and Gold Night" promotion, anyone showing their colors by wearing Steelers gear can receive half-price admission or purchase two tickets for the price of one.

The Xplosion host the Albany Patroons on Saturday, December 23. Season ticket packages start at $150. For more information call the Xplosion ticket office at (877) 410-9900 or visit www.pittsburghxplosion.com.
