
Xplorers Playoff Tickets on Sale Monday

Southaven, MS-The Memphis Xplorers of the af2 are proud to announce that tickets for the first home playoff game in franchise history go on sale Monday morning.
After defeating the Manchester Wolves 83-26 last Saturday at the DeSoto Civic Center, the Xplorers clinched the Mid West Division, ensuring their spot in the 2005 postseason. With the division title, Memphis receives a bye in the Wild-Card Round, along with a home game during the Divisional Round.
Memphis' first home playoff game is scheduled for Friday August 12th at 7:30pm at the DeSoto Civic Center. Single game tickets start as low as $9 and can be purchased by calling 662-342-1755, visiting the DeSoto Civic Center box office, or by logging onto www.TicketMaster.com today.
"This is a very exciting time for this organization," said Xplorers Director of Ticket Sales Jody O'Donnell. "The fans have been great this season, and they deserve a home playoff game."
On Wednesday the af2 Weekly Coaches Poll announced that Memphis is currently the number one team in the league. Memphis received twelve first place votes and 221 points out of a possible 228.
The Mid West Division Champions are heading to Central Valley this weekend to square off with the Coyotes. Game time is scheduled for 9:30 pm. The Xplorers currently have a one game lead on clinching home field advantage in the Conference Championship Round. All Xplorers games can be heard on SportsRadio WMC, The Mighty 790 AM. The next Memphis home game is Saturday July 30th against the Bossier-Shreveport Battle Wings.
