WTU Retail Energy Welcomes Fans with Free Entry into Colts Game

SAN ANGELO, Texas - WTU Retail Energy, a leading energy partner for West Texans, is hosting a Customer Appreciation night on Tuesday, July 29 when United League Baseball's San Angelo Colts host the Harlingen WhiteWings at Foster Field. As part of WTU's new sponsorship of the Colts, fans will receive complimentary admission to the game that begins at 7:05 p.m. CT.

To officially welcome WTU as its newest sponsor, members of the San Angelo Colts baseball team will begin the night with a presentation to Jim Steffes, WTU's vice president and general manager, of a personalized team jersey to signify the importance of community involvement.

"Summer baseball games have been long-held as a great American pastime. United League Baseball and the San Angelo Colts keep this tradition alive by bringing the excitement of the game to our communities," said Steffes. "It was an easy call for WTU to sign on as a corporate partner to the Colts and the United League this season."

As part of the agreement, WTU Retail Energy also hosted a title night on June 29, 2008, in addition to the customer appreciation night scheduled for July 29. During the title night, WTU showered the first 1,000 fans with free umbrellas.

"To continue providing professional baseball to smaller cities requires the support of community-minded organizations to help sponsor and encourage our continued growth and fan base in the ConchoValley," said Craig Brasfield, ULB president and executive general manager. "WTU has been a strong energy partner in West Texas for decades, and we're proud to have them on our team."

Earlier this season, WTU's South Texas affiliate, CPL Retail Energy, announced they had come on board as sponsors of the Laredo Broncos, Harlingen WhiteWings, and Edinburg Coyotes for the 2008 season. CPL is hosting similar customer appreciation events with those three United League teams this summer.
