Wranglers to hold open tryout December 3

AUSTIN-The Austin Wranglers will be holding an open player tryout in preparation for the 2007 Arena Football League season on Sunday, December 3 at the Round Rock ISD Stadium located at 10211 Parmer Lane. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. with players taking the field promptly at 9 a.m.
Participants will be tested on an artificial grass surface in the 40 and 20-yard dash, short shuttle, broad jump and position specific football drills. The Wranglers coaching staff along with several af2 and indoor football coaches will be in attendance.
"The open tryout has always been a great opportunity for teams to see undiscovered talent. We have been extremely fortunate to have discovered players at our open tryouts that have made major contributions to our team," said Wranglers General Manager Glyn Milburn. "The coaching staff and I encourage all local players in the area to give their best effort and come participate in this year's tryout."

The cost of the open tryout prior to November 30 is $65 and can be paid by Visa, MasterCard, cash, check or money order. For walk-up participants, the cost is $75 and only cash or money order will be accepted. All interested can pre-register on the team's website, www.austinwranglers.com.
