
Soul add veteran FB/LB Idris Price and NFL Europe standout DT Bryan Save

PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Soul have signed three-year AFL veteran FB/LB Idris Price and DT Bryan Save. As per club policy, terms of their deals were not disclosed.
Price (6'2", 240, New Haven) re-joins head coach Bret Munsey after spending time in Orlando with the Predators for the past three seasons. Last season, he rushed the ball 37 times for 98 yards with five touchdowns. On defense, he tallied 25 total tackles and one interception. In 2005, Price ranked ninth in the League in rushing yards with 157 and recorded seven scores. He also had 27.5 tackles with 2.5 sacks, two tackles for losses and two forced fumbles.
Save (6'1'', 313, Colorado State) joins the Soul for his first season in the AFL after spending the previous three seasons in the NFL and in NFL Europe. Last season, he led the Cologne Centurions and tied for fifth in the League with 4.5 sacks to go along with 35 total tackles in nine games. In 2005 with the Centurions after being allocated by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he totaled 30 tackles 4.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one pass breakup.
The Soul roster has 22 players with 13 returning players from the 2006 season (WR/DB Mike Brown, DB Roland Cola, DB Clarence Curry, K Todd France, QB Tony Graziani, OL/DL Mike Mabry, WR J.J. McKelvey, OL/DL Dwayne Missouri, DB Eddie Moten, LB Raheem Orr, FB Wes Ours, WR/LB Sean Scott and FB/LB Darnell Small). Four players are rookies (DL John Fields, WR Steve Gonzalez, DB Brian Mance and Save) who have been signed this season and one veteran free agent (Price). They also have four players they signed last season during the free agency signing period who entered NFL training camps this season (OL/DL Jason Davis, OS Isaac West, DS Aric Williams and DS Brandon Williams) eligible for Soul training camp.
