The Austin Wranglers picked up QB David Priestly in the AFL's Dispersal Draft held today. Priestly was placed on the Indiana Firebirds Other League Exempt list in November 2002, as he completed two seasons in NFL Europe.

AFLâ2003: Was signed by the Indiana Firebirds of the Arena Football League on November 19, 2002...Placed on the Firebirds' exempt list in order to participate in NFL Europe last season.
NFLâ2004: Signed by the Seattle Seahawks in January, 2004 and allocated to NFL Europe for a second term overseas... Joined the Frankfurt Galaxy for the final two games of the 2004 NFLEL season after spending the majority of the season with the Amsterdam Admirals... Played in four contests for Amsterdam, completing one pass for eight yards on the season... 2003: Signed as a free agent with the Scottish Claymores for 2003 season but was re-assigned to the Amsterdam Admirals, where he completed 28 of 52 passes for 326 yards, 4 touchdowns and 1 interception for a QB rating of 90.6...Was re-assigned again at conclusion of 2003 regular season and served as third quarterback for the Frankfurt Galaxy during their World Bowl XI defeat of the Rhein Fire... 2002: Originally signed by the Buffalo Bills as a rookie free agent, waived by the Bills prior to the start of the regular season....
COLLEGE: Finished his career at the University of Pittsburgh ranked fourth on the school's passing yardage list with 4,553 yards in 28 games played... Started all 11 games for the Panthers in his senior season of 2001, completing 165 of 280 passes for 2,128 yards and 18 touchdowns and only 8 interceptions... Appeared in eight games as a junior, throwing for 829 yards and 5 touchdowns... Completed 92 of 158 pass attempts for 1,305 yards with 6 touchdowns in 1999, his first year playing at Pittsburgh... Sat out the 1998 season after transferring from Ohio State... Majored in communications at Pittsburgh.
PERSONAL: Played football at Brethren Christian High School in Cypress, California, passing for 4,446 yards and 34 touchdowns in his career... Held every BCHS passing record by the time he left the school... Selected as a high school All-American by numerous publications... Lists his hobbies as golfing and reading car magazines.
