Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today that they have agreed to terms with forward Greg Collins for the 2010-11 season. The team also announced that they have agreed to terms with forward Matt Price.
Collins returns to the Wranglers for his second season with the team and second professional season overall. Prior to joining the Wranglers, Collins, a native of Rochester, NY, was with the University of New Hampshire, appearing in 146 games from 2005 to 2009 and earning 49 points.
"Greg Collins is as hard working as they come. His work ethic is contagious and [he] is extremely tough to play against," said Wranglers GM/Head Coach Ryan Mougenel. "I am looking forward to Greg adding a scoring touch this year. He is an integral piece of the puzzle when you are building a championship team."
Price, a native of Milton, Ontario, comes to Las Vegas entering his first professional season. The 22-year-old spent 2006 through 2010 with Boston College, serving as team captain and appearing in 147 games in his four seasons there. Price, a 5-9, 180-pound forward, previously played for the Milton IceHawks of the OPJHL, earning 83 points in 86 games from 2004 to 2006.
"Matt Price comes to us after winning two Championships at Boston College," added Mougenel. "[He is] a proven winner whose leadership is going to be huge for our team this year. Matt is a player who possesses NHL speed. He was well sought after in our league and I am very excited he chose Vegas to start his professional career."
