
WR Raul Vijil returns to Spokane

Spokane, WA: The Spokane Shock announced today that WR Raul Vijil will return to Spokane for the 2009 season.
After three seasons with the Shock, Vijil is the franchise's all-time leader in receptions (223), touchdown receptions (62), reception yardage (2,454) and all-purpose yardage (4,164).
Vijil, 5-10 190, is the 11th member of the 2008 National Conference Champions to re-sign with the Shock.
"I'm really excited for this upcoming year," Vijil said. "It's good to be in a place where the fans support you the way they do here in Spokane."
Last season, Vijil was named first team all-af2 after he recorded 107 receptions - including 35 touchdown receptions - for 1,212 yards.
Vijil and the Shock will kick off the 2009 season on April 3rd on Spokane Tribe Field at the Spokane Arena. Season tickets for the 2009 season - including seats on the lower level - are on sale now and can be purchased by calling 509 242 7462.
