BEAVERCREEK - The Dayton Warbirds football team has announced that Doug Worm has joined the organization as sales/marketing representative, and will assist all current and potential team sponsorships for their advertising needs for the 2006 season. A resident of Dayton, Worm has an extensive background in sales, and brings to the Warbirds an exciting approach to sales and customer service. "Dayton deserves football," Worm said was the key factor in his joining the Warbirds' family. "I like the personal interaction sales involves," he added about why he likes being involved in the sales profession. Worm was the past Regional Sales Director for Environmental Concepts, as well as a Sales Manager for Ohio Mortgage Funding, an account executive with Choice One Communications, and a field supervisor for PennCorp Financial. He continues as National Sales Director for Heaven Essence. A native of Kokomo, Ind., Worm grew up in Omaha, Nev., and served in the United States Marine Corps where he was Honorable Discharged in 1990. He has two daughters, Sara, 16, and Brittney, 9. "If football is to succeed in Dayton the community needs to come together," Worm said, adding that he will take a lead role in making that happen. "We need to bring people together to accomplish that goal." The Warbirds are very pleased to welcome Worm on board. "Doug brings a vast array of sales experience to our team, and his willingness to bring the team and community together is a vital part of our continuing success in the Dayton area," said Jorge Ruiz, Warbirds' General Manager. The Dayton Warbirds, LLC is the parent club for the Dayton Warbirds. The Warbirds are members of the National Indoor Football League, which has 22 member teams in the United States.
