Gonzalez joins Warbirds

BEAVERCREEK - The Dayton Warbirds football team has announced that Hector Gonzalez has joined the organization as sales/marketing representative, and will assist all current and potential team sponsorships for their advertising needs for the 2006 season.

A resident of Dayton, Gonzalez has an extensive background in sales, and brings to the Warbirds an exciting approach to sales and customer service.

"I love the game of football, and I love the atmosphere of arena football," Gonzalez said was the key factor in his joining the Warbirds' family.

"I know I can help a franchise sell-out in its market," he added about why he likes being involved in the sales profession.

A native of Rio-Piebras, Puerto Rico, and he is a graduate of the University of Miami, Fla., with a degree in Sports Management. Gonzalez is the father of one daughter, Jocelyn, 5.

"The response we are getting from our sponsors has been good," said Gonzalez. "They all want to be involved in some way."

The Warbirds are very pleased to welcome Gonzalez on board.

"Hector brings a vast array of sales experience to our team, and his willingness to bring the team and community together is a vital part of our continuing success in the Dayton area," said Jorge Ruiz, Warbirds' General Manager.

Gonzalez also said he has enjoyed living in Ohio since he joined the team, "I love the weather here, it is awesome."

The Dayton Warbirds, LLC is the parent club for the Dayton Warbirds. The Warbirds are members of the National Indoor Football League, which has 22 member teams in the United States.
