Worcester Bravehearts uses big second inning to beat Torrington Titans, 8-1

The Worcester Bravehearts (7-2) beat the Torrington Titans (2-6) 8-1 on Friday at Fitton Field after a five-run explosion in the second inning.

The Worcester Bravehearts scored in the second on a hit by pitch, a single by Shane Sandoval, an RBI single by Nate Pajka, an error, a single by Nick Nunziato, a single by Andy Lack, and a double by Mark DeYoung.

Nunziato racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Worcester Bravehearts.

Logan Fullmer racked up four strikeouts in the the Worcester Bravehearts win. The Worcester Bravehearts' pitcher gave up just four hits over five shutout innings.

David Gerics was effective even in defeat, mowing down five the Worcester Bravehearts batters and allowing zero runs.

Zachary LaRosa ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in two innings, walked one and struck out two.
