Worcester Bravehearts & Futures League Unveil New Extra Innings Rules
January 27, 2017 - Futures Collegiate Baseball League (FCBL)
Worcester Bravehearts News Release
The Futures Collegiate Baseball League of New England and the Worcester Bravehearts will be rolling out a new Home Run Derby format to decide extra innings games this summer. In what is believed to be the first rule of its kind in North America, this timed event will be similar to a hockey shootout and will be instituted in regular season games that are tied after 10 innings. A press release is attached to this email, and you can also read the article on the Bravehearts' website at ws-1120/news_468563.
The full rules are available on the Futures League website at www.thefuturesleague.com. Commissioner Chris Hall is available for interviews by contacting the Bravehearts front office at 508-438-3773 or emailing Bravehearts General Manager Dave Peterson at dave@worcesterbravehearts.com.
