
Woodpeckers Team Up To Host 'Back to School Bash'

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The Fayetteville Woodpeckers are teaming up with local organizations to host a "Back to School Bash" on Friday, August 5th. The inaugural event will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m at Segra Stadium. The event will provide families in need with free school supplies and other necessities to begin the school year.
The Woodpeckers Foundation 501(c)(3) donated $1,000 to cover the costs of the event. Over twenty Fayetteville area organizations will also donate to the cause and have a presence at the event. Each organization will provide a specific school supply to attendees, such as backpacks, notebooks, folders pencils, markers, crayons, and more. The event will also include fun for the whole family with concourse games, batting cages, face painting and a Kids Zone. In preparation for the event, the Woodpeckers will hold a school supply drive during the last homestand in July. Fans who bring a school supply to any game from July 26th - July 31st will receive a voucher to redeem at the box office for a discounted $7 ticket. The ticket can be used for admission to any remaining home game in the 2022 season.
