Wolves' Wives Pucker up for Annual Fundraiser

The Chicago Wolves' wives and girlfriends will host their annual Valentine's Day puck fundraiser to benefit Chicago Wolves Charities at six home games during the month of February: Fri., Feb. 4; Sat., Feb. 5; Wed., Feb. 9; Sat., Feb. 19; Wed., Feb. 23; and Sat., Feb. 26.
Commemorative Valentine's Day pucks, packaged with candy, can be purchased for a $10 donation along the lower concourse of the Allstate Arena during the games. All pucks are autographed by a Wolves player and if your puck is signed in gold, you get the opportunity to meet that player after the game. In addition, fans can purchase a complete set of pucks with each player's autograph for $200.
Along with Chicago Wolves charities, proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit the Multiple Sclerosis Society and the United Cerebral Palsy Fund, a cause which is especially close to Head Coach Don Lever.
¬ÅMy son is 30 years old and has cerebral palsy. He is physically and mentally handicapped and our pride and joy, ¬Â said Lever. ¬ÅAs a family, we are very aware and thankful for those who try to raise money for people with handicaps. ¬Â
Wolves' Wives Fundraisers began in 1999 to give fans the chance to interact with the players' wives and girlfriends and learn more about them and the sacrifices they make for hockey.
¬ÅThroughout the years, the causes from the different fundraisers have been very close to the wives' hearts, ¬Â said Wolves Senior Vice President of Operations Courtney Mahoney. ¬ÅIt is always special for them to meet the fans. ¬Â
