WILKES-BARRE, PA - Penguins fans can get geared up for the biggest football game of the season a little early, as the team presents FOOTBALL FRIDAY, Sponsored by McCarthy Tire.

The Penguins face the Manitoba Moose at 7:05pm on Friday, February 4, and the night will revolve around the NFL championship game featuring the Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Fans are encouraged to show their allegiance by wearing their favorite team's football jersey to the game. There will be super football themed giveaways throughout the night, football-styled intermission contests, and trivia questions concerning the big game.

The Penguins organization will also show it's backing for the cross-state football team, by offering fans a chance to win a special Steelers raffle item.

The team's support will be obvious to everyone in attendance as the center ice logo, which usually features the Penguins crest, will be switched to showcase the Pittsburgh Steelers emblem.

"As an extension of the Pittsburgh Penguins, we are happy to show our backing to our Black and Gold brethren as they go for their seventh NFL championship on Sunday," said Wilkes-Barre/Scranton CEO Jeff Barrett.

Friday night's game is also another Dollar Dogs and Drafts Night, with select draft beers available for just $1.00 from 6:00-7:30pm, and dollar dogs available while supplies last.

The first 5,000 fans will also receive a free Penguins All-Star Poster, courtesy of McCarthy Tire and Bridgestone.
