MANCHESTER WOLVES 2007 HOME OPENER TOMORROW!

The Manchester Wolves (0-2) will take on the Fort Wayne Fusion (2-1) Saturday, April 21, at 7:05 p.m. on Brady Sullivan Field at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, N.H.

The first 3,000 fans will also be treated to a FREE Delta Dental/Manchester Wolves toothbrush, courtesy of Delta Dental. At halftime fans will be entertained by a special performance from the Londonderry Band!

Saturday's match up on Brady Sullivan Field will be the first between these two franchises as the Fort Wayne Fusion enter the 2007 season as one of eight new expansion teams in the arenafootball2 league. The contest will be the Wolves first home game at the new 7:05 p.m. start time and their first against an expansion team since arriving to Manchester in 2004.

The Wolves will be looking to rebound after back-to-back losses to open the season. Newly acquired gunslinger Ryan Porter (Missouri State) will get the task of leading the Wolves to their first win of the season as he'll get the starting nod at quarterback. The start will be Porter's second of his young arenafootball2 career.

Since the Wolves arrived in 2004 they have lost all three of their home openers and will be looking to change their luck Saturday against the Fort Wayne Fusion!

2004: Lost 42-45 vs. the Quad City Steamwheelers.

Wolves Leading Receiver: - Henry Frazier - 4 catches for 98 yards

2005: Lost in Overtime 26-32 vs. the Florida Firecats.

Wolves Starting QB: Jake Eaton - 29-of-42, 255 passing yards, 3 tds, 1 int

Wolves Leading Receiver: - J.J. McKelvey - 13 catches for 124 yards, 1 td

2006: Lost 34-48 vs. the Green Bay Blizzard.

Wolves Starting QB: D. Bryant - 24-of-40, 241 passing yards, 5 tds

Wolves Leading Receiver: - Jamaal Perry - 10 catches for 99 yards, 1 td

2007: Manchester Wolves vs. Fort Wayne Fusion

Wolves starting quarterback will be second-year gunslinger Ryan Porter with his starting receiving core being: Jarrail Jackson, David Bailey and Ari Confesor...

The Manchester Wolves have averaged 8,191 fans per home opener at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, N.H.

Saturday's gave will be televised live on WMUR - Channel 9 with play-by-play and color commentary provided by Jamie Staton and Jason King with a halftime update by Naoko Funayama.
