
Wolves Sign Matson

The Chicago Wolves have signed center TAYLOR MATSON.
MATSON tallied 2 points (G, A) in five regular-season games with the Wolves last year after being signed by the team to an Amateur Tryout Contract (ATO) on April 7, 2012. He also appeared in all five of Chicago's Calder Cup postseason tilts, accruing an assist and 4 penalty minutes.
Prior to joining the Wolves, the 23-year-old forward ranked eighth on the University of Minnesota with 23 points (8G, 15A) in 43 outings during his senior campaign. He also captained the Golden Gophers to the 2012 NCAA Frozen Four.
Overall, the Mound, Minn., native amassed 21 goals, 21 assists, and 42 points in 108 career games with the University of Minnesota spanning four seasons (2008-12).
