Manchester Wolves News Release

The Manchester Wolves, New Hampshire's professional arenafootball2 team, announced today that they have been assigned Offensive/Defensive Lineman David Harley.

Harley (6'1, 335) will bring even more depth to one of the league's strongest offensive lines, currently tied for first in the af2 with no sacks allowed, while also bringing a tough-nosed presence on the defensive line. In two years (2003-2004) at Rutgers University Harley played in 22 games and registered 45.0 total tackles, two quarterback hurries, one sack, three fumble recoveries and one forced fumble. Prior to Rutgers, the Tallahassee, Florida native attended Pasadena City College for two years (2001-2002) where he was teammates with current Wolves lineman Jimmy Williams. During those two years at Pasadena he collected 69 tackles and was named First Team All-Mission Conference.

In 2005, Harley was signed as an undrafted free agent by the NFL's Minnesota Vikings where he made it to the last round of cuts before being released. Harley continued to pick up experience in the NFL circuit in 2006 as he played for the Frankfurt Galaxy in the NFL affiliated NFL-Europe league.

"You're always trying to upgrade at every position and right now his experience will be an asset to our organization," said Manchester Wolves Head Coach Ben Bennett. "Adding a guy that has NFL and NFL-Europe experience is never a bad thing."

The Wolves (0-2) will host their 2007 home opener on Brady Sullivan Field at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, N.H. this Saturday, April 21, at 7:05 p.m. against the expansion Fort Wayne Fusion (2-1). The First 3,000 fans will receive a FREE toothbrush courtesy of Delta Dental.
