Wolves Get Three from Atlanta

The Atlanta Thrashers have assigned right wing IAN McKENZIE, and goaltenders CHRIS CARROZZI (ka-ROH-zee) and EDWARD PASQUALE (pas-KWAHL-ee) to the Chicago Wolves.

McKENZIE registered one goal and 14 penalty minutes in 24 American Hockey League games with the Milwaukee Admirals last season. The 23-year-old forward also recorded five points (3G, 2A) and 48 penalty minutes in 24 ECHL contests with the Cincinnati Cyclones last year. Overall, the Weyburn, Saskatchewan, native has tallied five points (4G, A) and 45 penalty minutes in 50 career AHL outings with Milwaukee, and 20 points (15G, 5A) and 104 penalty minutes in 64 ECHL matchups with Cincinnati during his two-year professional career (2008-10).

CARROZZI, the 2010 Ontario Hockey League Goaltender of the Year, was selected by the Atlanta Thrashers with their sixth choice, 154th overall, in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. The 20-year-old netminder ranked second in the OHL with a 2.36 goals-against average and amassed a 19-10-5 record in 38 outings with the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors last season. He also shared the league lead with five shutouts and tied for fourth in the OHL with a .916 save percentage. Overall, the Nepean, Ontario, native has registered a 77-49-12 record and a 3.09 goals-against average in 157 career OHL matchups with Toronto St. Michael's and Mississauga St. Michael's, spanning four seasons (2006-10).

PASQUALE notched a 27-17-5 record with a 3.17 goals-against average and .916 save percentage in 51 contests with the Saginaw Spirit during his fourth OHL season last year. His .916 save percentage shared fourth in the league while his 27 victories shared sixth. The 19-year-old netminder has posted a 75-48-13 record, 3.11 goals-against average and .911 save percentage in 142 career OHL contests with Saginaw and the Belleville Bulls, spanning four seasons (2006-10).
