Mohegan Wolves News Release
NEW LONDON, Conn. (July 7, 2003) â Paul Konicki has got himself a fancy set of new wheels, courtesy of the Mohegan Wolves.
Konicki, a Lisbon, CT resident, won a brand new 2003 Harley-Davidson Sportster at this past Saturday's Mohegan Wolves home game vs. Bossier City. The blockbuster giveaway was aptly titled, "America's Bike for America's Birthday." Co-sponsors of the event were New London County Motorcycle, 104.7 The Wolf and WFSB Channel 3.
"This is unreal," said Konicki, who was enjoying the game with his niece Victoria before he was told he won the bike. "It's a nice-looking machine. I haven't ridden a motorcycle in years, but now I might have to get back out there.
All Konicki had to pay for his prize was $12, the money he spent for the upper bowl ticket to the game.
The Wolves (9-4) play at Richmond this Friday, July 11. Their regular season home finale is set for July 18 against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. On that night, every fan in attendance will receive a FREE team poster as part of "Fan Appreciation Night." The posters are being provided courtesy of The Day and 103.7 FNX Radio.
Catch Mark Stoute on the all-new "Wolves Locker Room Show" Sundays at 10 AM on your local PAX TV station. Don't miss the final show of the 2003 season, which airs on July 13!
