Chicago Wolves News Release

The Chicago Wolves have reached a one-year affiliation agreement with the Kalamazoo Wings of the ECHL for the 2012-13 season.

"We are pleased and honored to begin a new relationship with the Kalamazoo Wings," said Wolves general manager WENDELL YOUNG. "We are looking forward to our players learning and developing under Kalamazoo head coach Nick Bootland. I also think the three-team combination of Vancouver, Chicago, and Kalamazoo will be a strong one that works in unison to benefit all three organizations."

The Kalamazoo Wings play at the 5,113-seat Wings Stadium in Kalamazoo, located in southwest Michigan. The K-Wings have won three consecutive division titles since joining the ECHL at the start of the 2009-10 season. Kalamazoo posted a 38-26-2-6 record last year and reached the Conference Finals in the 2012 Kelly Cup playoffs. The K-Wings also are affiliated with the National Hockey League's Vancouver Canucks.

The Wolves 19th home opener, presented by LifeSource, will be an Illinois Lottery Cup game against the Rockford IceHogs at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13, at the Allstate Arena. For more information on ticket packages, visit chicagowolves.com or call 1-800-THE-WOLVES.
