Wolves Bolster Roster With Additions From Gwinnett

The Atlanta Thrashers have reassigned forwards GUILLAUME DESBIENS (ghee-OHM day-BYEHN) and TOMAS POSPISIL (PAHS-pih-sil) and defenseman CHAD DENNY from the ECHL's Gwinnett Gladiators to the Chicago Wolves. In addition, the Wolves have recalled left wing MIKE HAMILTON from Gwinnett.
DESBIENS led the Gladiators and shared ninth in the ECHL with nine points (3G, 6A) in eight Kelly Cup playoff outings before the squad was eliminated by the South Carolina Stingrays, 3-games-to-2, in the South Division Semifinal last week. The 23-year-old right wing tallied five assists and seven points in 10 regular-season ECHL outings after being reassigned from Chicago to Gwinnett on March 1. Prior to joining the Gladiators, he appeared in 23 American Hockey League games with Chicago, notching three points (G, 2A) and 30 penalty minutes.
DENNY was held scoreless in eight postseason outings with Gwinnett after collecting seven goals and 13 points in 48 regular-season appearances this year during his professional debut. The 21-year-old blueliner also registered four assists and six points in 11 games with Chicago this season.
POSPISIL ranked sixth on the Gladiators with 41 points (18G, 23A) in 54 outings during his rookie year. He also tallied two goals and five points in eight tilts during Gwinnett's postseason run, and two assists in 11 regular-season appearances with Chicago from March 12 to April 2.
HAMILTON ranked second on Gwinnett behind DESBIENS with eight points (2G, 6A) in eight playoff games. The 24-year-old left wing placed third on the Gladiators with 23 goals and fourth with 50 points in 72 regular-season matchups this year during his professional debut.
