July 1, 2009 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Connecticut Whale News Release

HARTFORD, July 1, 2009: Northland AEG senior vice-president and general manager Chuck Steedman announced today that Tim Kemp has joined the Hartford Wolf Pack as a marketing manager.

Kemp is a 2008 graduate of the University of Connecticut and comes to the Wolf Pack from the University of Memphis athletic department, where he had worked as Interim Assistant Director of Marketing since December of 2008. His responsibilities in that position included managing the student worker program and the marketing of Tiger Baseball and Volleyball, creation of game scripts and logs for Men's Basketball, fulfillment of all donation requests, all departmental graphic design, and assisting with in-game promotional efforts for all 19 Tiger varsity sports. Kemp had the opportunity to work with former Tiger Men's Basketball head coach John Calipari throughout the basketball season, and he was involved with all in-game management duties for both the 2009 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament South Regional and the 2009 Conference USA Men's Basketball Tournament, when the University of Memphis and the FedEx Forum hosted both events.

A native of Albany, NY, Kemp earned a degree in Marketing from UConn, where he worked in the Athletic Marketing office for nearly four years. That experience afforded him the opportunity to manage marketing and promotions for several Olympic sports. Kemp also completed several internships during his college tenure, including one with the Pebble Beach Company in Monterey, CA that immersed him in merchandise planning and initial marketing efforts for the 2010 U.S. Open at Pebble Beach.

Kemp will help oversee all aspects of Wolf Pack marketing, including direction of the team's website operations, game presentation, media buying and design and production of collateral materials.

Season tickets are now on sale for the 2009-10 Wolf Pack season. The Wolf Pack is offering "Knockout Season Ticket Prices" for 2009-10, with across-the-board price reductions of 8-13% depending on the seat location. The AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack is operated by Northland AEG LLC, a joint partnership between Northland Investment Corporation and AEG Facilities. The team is the top player-development affiliate of the NHL's New York Rangers.
