Wolf Pack Sign Marvin Degon

Hartford, July 6, 2006: Hartford Wolf Pack general manager/head coach Jim Schoenfeld announced today that the Wolf Pack have signed defenseman Marvin Degon to an American Hockey League contract. In accordance with team policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Degon, a Millbury, Massachusetts native, originally joined the Wolf Pack on an amateur tryout (ATO) agreement March 16th. In 14 regular season appearances since then, the 22-year-old, 5-11, 190-pound blueliner netted two goals and four assists for six points, and logged four penalty minutes and a +13 rating. During the 2005-2006 playoffs, Degon tied the Wolf Pack's postseason franchise high with three assists in a 7-0 win over the Manchester Monarchs in Game Four of the Division Semifinals. In a total of 13 playoff games with the Pack this season, Degon registered five assists and six PIM.
