Auburn Hills, MI - The WNBA released its schedule for the first round of the WNBA Playoffs today, with the Shock scheduled to play an as yet to be determined opponent on August 17, August 19 and, if necessary, August 21. Entering this evening's game at The Palace vs. the Seattle Storm, Detroit is 21-9 on the year, and could still finish first, second or third in the Eastern Conference. The first round of the WNBA Playoffs is a best-two-out-of-three format with the lower seed hosting Game 1, and the higher seed hosting Game 2 and, if necessary, Game 3.
