WOLFF WINS MLS PLAYER OF THE WEEK, CONTENDING FOR BUDWEISER GOLDEN BOOT:

Kansas City Wizards forward Josh Wolff has been named MLS Player of the Week for the 2nd time this season and the 7th time in his career. Wolff scored both Kansas City goals in a 2-0 win Saturday at Rio Tinto Stadium. Thanks to his effort, the Wizards became the first club to defeat RSL in a regular-season game at their new venue. Wolff is now tied with Chicago's Brian McBride for the MLS lead with six goals on the season. All six of his goals have come over the last six games.

With two strikes Saturday, Wolff moved into a tie with Los Angeles Galaxy's Edson Buddle for 15th in MLS history and 8th among active players in goals scored. He is also nominated for the Goal of the Week Award. Fans can vote online at http://web.mlsnet.com/sights/goal_of_the_week.
