Winnipeg ICE Launch Winnipeg ICE Foundation 50/50 Jackpot Presented by Cardinal Sport

Winnipeg, MB - The Winnipeg ICE announced the launch of the Winnipeg ICE Foundation 50/50 Jackpot Draw presented by Cardinal Sport with the jackpot starting at $5000.00.
The Winnipeg ICE Foundation Jackpot is an important fundraising initiative supporting the post secondary education of current and former Winnipeg ICE players. The Winnipeg ICE Foundation funds approximately 25 players' post secondary education every single year including tuition, textbooks and compulsory fees. For each season played in the WHL, a player receives a one year post secondary scholarship.
"We are proud to help support our players in funding their post secondary studies. Awarding them with scholarships allows the players to ease into studying for a career of their choice without the financial burdens that often come with post-secondary education. The WHL Scholarship Program is an incredible send off to our alumni and has a positive and impactful influence on the futures of past and current players." said Raylin Kirsch, Education Advisor for the Winnipeg ICE.
Tickets are now available for purchase. Sales will close at 11:00PM CST on April 27, 2021. After sales have been closed, the draw will take place at 11:05PM CST on April 27, 2021. The winning raffle number will be posted on the website winnipegICE.ca as well as on the Winnipeg ICE social media channels, shortly after the draw.
The raffle is open to all people who are located in the Province of Manitoba when purchasing tickets online or those who are a current resident of Manitoba. Participants must be 18 years of age or older.
The winner will have thirty days from the date of the draw to claim their prize. If the prize is unclaimed after thirty days, the funds will remain with the Winnipeg ICE Foundation to help advance the education of past and present WHL players who are eligible for the WHL's scholarship program.
