Aberdeen Wings News Release
The Aberdeen Wings used another explosive offensive attack Thursday night to skate away with their 4th straight win! Peter Krieger started off the scoring for the Wings with a power play goal at the 3:22 mark of the first period Justin Parizek got the lone assist on the goal. Krieger netted another about 11 minutes later at the 14:11 mark with assists this time going to Parizek and Jordan Heller. Tanner Holmquist would find himself on a break away at the 15:09 mark and was able to beat the Chill goaltender to put the Wings up 3-0 and that's the way it looked the first period would end. Then Zach Kraft was able to add one more at the 19:23 mark with an assists from Holmquist to give the wings a 4-0 cushion going into the intermission. The lone goal of the 2nd period was scored by Sam Coborn when his wrap around was able to find the back of the net. Assisting on the Coborn goal was Doerring and Horton. Kyle Haak added a short handed goal in the 3rd on a pretty pass from below the goal line from Heller. The Wings gave up a goal late but still skated to a 6-1 victory. Zach Nagelvoort had another outstanding performance in goal for the Wings stopping 29 of the 30 shots he faced. The Wings stayed in the playoff picture with the win and Minot falling to Bismarck 7-2. The Wings will be in Bismarck Friday and Saturday night to take on the Bobcats and try to keep the streak going. Tune into 107.7 or fasthockey.com for all your Wings away action!
