Philadelphia Wings News Release
The Philadelphia Wings have signed nine-year forward Jake Bergey for the 2006 season. Per team policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.
"Jake has been a foundation of the Wings franchise since the day we signed him in 1998," said Wings President Russ Cline. "He will bring great leadership to this year's young team."
The six-foot, 31-year old is third on the Wings' all-time goals list (179), third on the all-time assists list (215), and third on the all-time points list (393). Bergey was also a member of two Wings World Championship teams in 2001 and 1998.
