Wings' Marechek Named to Second All-Pro Team

Philadelphia Wings forward Tom Marechek was announced today to the National Lacrosse League's All Pro Second Team. The 11-year veteran accumulated 87 points (42G, 45A) during the 2003 regular season. Marechek is the Wings all-time goal scoring leader (330), second all-time assist leader (292), all-time points leader (622), and all-time shot leader (1,174).

"Tom had a great season and this is a well deserved honor," said Wings President Russ Cline. "He has established himself as one of the all-time great forwards of the Wings and of this League."

Marechek has received All-Pro honors eight times during his NLL career; five times to the first team (2001, '00, 1999, '97, '96) and three times to the second team (2003, 1998, '95). Marechek also received Offensive Player of the Week honors this season on February 26 for his eight-point (5G, 3A) performance against New Jersey on February 22, 2003.
