
Darris Kilgour Named NLL Coach of the Year

Buffalo Bandits Head Coach Darris Kilgour was named the National Lacrosse League's Head Coach of the year for the 2002-2003 regular season.
In his first season as head coach of the Bandits, Kilgour led his team to a 12-4 regular season record, an improvement of four games on the team's 8-8 record from the previous season. The Bandits also made their first playoff appearance since the 2000 season. Kilgour has now reached the playoffs in all three of his seasons as a head coach in the NLL, leading the Washington Power franchise to the post-season in 2001 and 2002.
The Coaching success marks another chapter in the proud history between the Kilgour and the Buffalo Bandits. As a player , the Niagara Falls New York native was the first-ever draft choice of the Bandits (1991 Entry Draft) and was a three time All-Pro. Kilgour played on all three Bandits Championship teams, 1992, 1993, and 1996.
