
Wings Marachek Named Player of the Week

Philadelphia Wings forward Tom Marechek, who scored the winning overtime goal that boosted the Wings to a 12-11 victory over the Toronto Rock last Saturday, was today named the National Lacrosse League's Player of the Week. The win also secured the Wings the sixth and final spot in the 2002 NLL Playoffs.
The Wings open the NLL playoffs against the Washington Power on Saturday, March 30 at the First Union Center at 8 p.m. The winner of this match-up will advance to the NLL Semifinals to face the Toronto Rock at the Air Canada Centre on Friday, April 5 at 7:30 p.m.
