OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
John Tavares (Buffalo) scored three goals, and added 10 assists (3g, 10a, 13 pts.), in a 23-22 win over Washington. Tavares had a power play goal, a short-handed goal, and scooped six loose balls.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Rob Blasdell (Albany) made 49 saves while facing 55shots (6 GA), added three assists, and collected 15 loose balls, in a 14-6 winover the Montreal Express. Blasdell recorded 17 saves in the third quarter.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Ryan Painter (Ottawa) scored five goals, added one assist (5g, 1a, 6 pts.), and picked-up 5 loose balls, in a 17-16 win over the New York Saints. Painter scored three goals (3g, 3 pts.),in a 12-11 loss to New Jersey.
OVERALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Tom Marechek (Philadelphia) scored five goals, added three assists (5g, 3a, 8 pts.), scored the game winner, and collected 10 loose balls, in 12-11 overtime win over the Toronto Rock. Marechek scored one goal, and added three assists (1g, 3a, 4 pts.), in a 17-9 loss to Toronto on Friday.
