Aberdeen Wings News Release
Saturday night, the Aberdeen Wings were on the road taking on the Minot Minotauros in NAHL Central Division action. The Wings beat #1 Minot in a shootout Friday night 1-0. Saturday night would be a completely different showing posting a 5-0 loss.
After a New Years Eve shutout and Friday night's shutout, the Wings were looking just a strong defensively stopping all shots from Minot in the first period going into the locker room scoreless. But in the second period, the train seemed to derail with Minot scoring 4 unanswered goals in two to three minute intervals. Down 4-0, the Minotauros added another in the third period to finish off the Wings 5-0 in a weekend split.
The Aberdeen Wings (16-17-2) begin a 4-game home stand against the Minnesota Magicians and Minot Minotauros. This Friday and Saturday, the Wings take on the Magicians with doors opening at 5:30pm each night at the Odde Ice Center.
