Weekend Recap:
The Magicians returned from the holiday break with a pair of games against the Minnesota Wilderness. On New Year's Eve, the team traveled to Cloquet for an early evening game at Northwoods Credit Union Arena. Unfortunately, the calendar year ended with a lopsided defeat at the hands of the current Midwest Division leaders. After a few days of practice, the Magicians once again faced the Wilderness in Sunday evening game at Richfield Arena. The change of venue did not change the result on the scoreboard, as the Wilderness once again left Richfield with a victory. The Magicians head to Aberdeen on Friday and Saturday of this week before a home & home series with the Minnesota Wilderness on January 16th and 17th.

Star of the Game: Denis Shevyrin - The Krefeld, Germany native returned to the Magicians from his stint at the World Junior Championships and added an assist on the team's lone goal of the evening.

The Magicians will be hosting their 2nd Annual Pucks for Paws promotion on Saturday January 31st at Richfield Ice Arena. The event benefits Secondhand Hounds animal shelter, and the organization will be featuring some its animals that are currently up for adoption!
