Philadelphia Wings News Release

The always innovative and edgy Philadelphia Wings indoor lacrosse team will let their hair down and host "Mullet Night" at the Wings when the team hosts the Calgary Roughnecks at First Union Center on Saturday, March 22, beginning at 8 p.m. Anyone with a mullet hairstyle who reports to the arena box office one hour before game time, may purchase a ticket for $10.

In case you need a little edge off the sides, as part of "Mullet Night" at the Wings, the team will offer free haircuts on the concourse courtesy of Supercuts, the official hair stylist of Wings lacrosse.

The Wings will also feature music selections from Sony Music's new compilation "Mullets Rock," throughout "Mullet Night." The two-disc set, which is available in most music stores, features Judas Priest's "Livin' After Midnight," Grand Funk Railroad's "We're An American Band," Twisted Sister's "I Wanna Rock," Bachman Turner Overdrive's "Takin' Care Of Business," Rick Derringer's "Rock and Roll Hoochie Koo," George Thorogood's "Bad to the Bone" and many more. Copies of "Mullets Rock" will be awarded as prizes throughout the night.

"Wings lacrosse is one of the most exciting live events for fans of all ages," said Shawn Tilger, Comcast-Spectacor Vice President of Marketing who oversees marketing for the Wings. "We are different and we have a lot of fun. This will be another great night for our fans and those who may be curious about our sport."

Earlier this season, the Wings unveiled the toilet seat section featuring two non-working toilets mounted to the arena floor against the rink boards and behind the safety glass. Two lucky fans sit on the toilets with crowns on their heads and a lacrosse stick as their scepter and are served food and drinks at the game, courtesy of the Hooters Girls. Since the toilets are non-working, plunger and toilet paper are not necessary.

Known for their outrageous and wild party atmosphere at each and every home game, the Wings also feature interactive Twister with two lucky fans; the bad hair cut of the game; Hooters girls on a bouncing ball relay race; and much more.

The Wings have also instituted a new indoor pre-game block party prior to all home games at First Union Center. The "Broad Street Bash" features live music, a mechanical bull, interactive games, food and drink specials and other entertainment prior to all home games at the First Union Center. The Broad Street Bash fills both the 11th Street and Broad Street atriums of First Union Center, at least 90 minutes prior to every Wings home game at First Union Center. Admission to the Broad Street Bash is free with paid admission to the Wings game. Entrance to the Broad Street Bash is through the microbrewery entrance of First Union Center.

Game tickets, which include free admission to the Broad Street Bash, start as low as $18 ($20 day of game). Individual game tickets for Wings indoor lacrosse are $20, $25, $29 and $36 and are available at the First Union Center box office and all Ticketmaster locations. Fans can save money on tickets by purchasing season tickets, starting as low as $120, for all eight Wings home games by calling 215-389-WINGS. Get your tickets now before they fly away!
