Wings Goalie To Appear On "The Price Is Right" On February 11

February 10, 2005 - National Lacrosse League (NLL)
Philadelphia Wings News Release

Philadelphia Wings goaltender Dallas Eliuk will appear as a contestant on the popular game show "The Price Is Right" on CBS-3 on Friday, February 11 at 11 a.m. Eliuk attended a taping of the show on January 11; two days after the Wings faced the Anaheim Storm at Arrowhead Pond

"We were lucky that we didn't play the following weekend," said Eliuk. "We had a week off and it gave us the opportunity to hang in Hollywood for a few days."

After moving from contestants row to on-stage, Eliuk played "The Bargain Game." After guessing the better bargain between a set of dinnerware and an exercise machine, he advanced to the big wheel spin-off. His 75-cent spin was bettered by the contestant after him who spun a dollar.

"It was certainly a moment I won't ever forget," said Eliuk. "My wife has been talking about it for years, saying 'We have to get on "The Price Is Right" before Bob Barker retires.' I expected her to be the one to get on and they picked me."

Eliuk can be seen in action again when the Philadelphia Wings meet the Rochester Knighthawks in their next game on Saturday, February 12 at 7:35 p.m. The Wings return to the Wachovia Center for their next home game on Friday, February 18 vs. Rochester at 8 p.m.

Tickets for Philadelphia Wings indoor lacrosse are $10, $20, $27, $29 ($10, $22, $29, $31 day of game) and are available at the Wachovia Complex Box Office and all Ticketmaster locations.
