The Philadelphia Wings (1-1) face the Toronto Rock (1-1) in their 2005 home opener on Saturday, January 22 at the Wachovia Center at 8 p.m. The home opener will mark the beginning of the 19th season for the Philadelphia Wings franchise.
BACK-TO-BACK SPLIT
The Wings started the 2005 season with a win and a loss in back-to-back games on the road. The Wings defeated the Arizona Sting in a thrilling 10-9 overtime victory in their season opener on Friday, January 7 at Glendale Arena. Marc Morley, who was acquired by the Wings in a trade with the Anaheim Storm, netted the overtime goal, his first in a Wings uniform.
The Wings were defeated by the Anaheim Storm the following night by a score of 13-10 at the Arrowhead Pond in Anaheim, CA.
ELIUK WINS DEFENSIVE HONORS
Philadelphia Wings goaltender Dallas Eliuk was awarded the National Lacrosse League's Defensive Player of the Week award for Week #2. The Philadelphia Wings goaltender recorded 55 saves on 64 shots faced in a 10-9 overtime victory over the Arizona Sting. Eliuk did not play in Saturday's loss to the Anaheim Storm.

PRICE IS RIGHT FOR ELIUK
Several members of the Wings attended a taping of the popular CBS game show "The Price Is Right" on Monday, January 10 following their game in Anaheim this past Saturday. Goalie Dallas Eliuk was selected as a contestant and won several prizes. The Wings episode of "The Price is Right" will air on Friday, February 11.
