
Wings face Rochester and Minnesota this weekend

The Philadelphia Wings (2-4) face the Rochester Knigthawks (4-2) this Friday, February 18 at Wachovia Center at 7:30 p.m. and the Minnesota Swarm at Xcel Energy Center on Sunday, February 20 at 2 p.m.
The Knighthawks defeated the Wings by a score of 16-15 in their last game on Saturday, February 12 at Rochester. With their win over the Wings this weekend, the Knighthawks find themselves in a three-way tie for first place in the East Division with the Buffalo Bandits and Toronto Rock.
WINGS LIVE ON COMCAST SPORTSNET THIS FRIDAY
This Friday's game will be broadcast live on Comcast SportsNet. Joe Heyer will handle play-by-play commentary for the game and will be joined by analyst Scott Gabrielsen, who played for the Wings from 1989-98.
SCOUTING THE KNIGHTHAWKS
The Knighthawks' John Grant leads the NLL in scoring with 46 points (20G, 26A), while Shawn Williams is sixth overall with 37 points (15G, 22A).
Goaltender Pat O'Toole leads the NLL in goals against (10.64 GAA) and has the league's best save percentage 80.4%.
SCOUTING THE SWARM
This Sunday will be the Wings' first meeting with the Swarm (2-4) since the team joined the NLL on August 10, 2004. General Manager Marty O'Neill, who held the same position with the Wings from 2002-2004, leads the Swarm. Former Wings head coach Adam Mueller now serves as an assistant coach for the Minnesota franchise.
The Swarm leading scorers are Craig Conn with 16 points (10G, 6A), Ryder Bateman with 13 points (7G, 6A), Chad Culp with 13 points (7G, 6A), and Jamie Taylor with 13 points (2G, 11A).
Goaltender Matt Disher is sixth overall in the NLL in goals against (11.97) and has a 77.2% save percentage.

WINGS ACQUIRE NADELEN FROM SWARM
The Wings acquired defenseman Shawn Nadelen and a first round draft pick in the 2005 National Lacrosse League Entry Draft from the Minnesota Swarm on February 8. In exchange, the Swarm received the Wings 2003 first round draft pick, Ryan Ward, and the Wings' fourth pick in the 2005 NLL Entry Draft.
Nadelen scored four points (2G, 2A) in five games played for the Swarm this season. The 6-foot, 200 pound defenseman was acquired by the Storm from the Wings in the 2004 expansion draft. He recorded ten points (1G, 9A) and 67 loose balls and nine penalty minutes in eleven games played during the 2004 season for the Wings.
WINGS SIGN GUINDON
The Wings signed defenseman Jordan Guindon to a one-year contract on Thursday, February 11. Guindon, brother of current Wings defenseman Andrew Guindon, played for the New Jersey (now Anaheim) Storm during the 2002 season and recorded five points (2G, 3A), 15 loose balls, and 10 penalty minutes in eight games.
BRZESKI OUT FOR SEASON
Fifth-year defender Rich Brzeski suffered a torn ACL in his left knee during practice on Wednesday, February 2. Brzeski is scheduled for surgery on Thursday, February 17. He is not expected to return to the lineup this season.
'HAWKS FLY PAST WINGS
The Rochester Knighthawks defeated the Wings on Friday, February 12 by a score of 16-15. The tough fought contest was decided in the final 1:08 when Rochester's Tim Soudan scored the game-winning goal. Leading the Wings in scoring were Dan Marohl with six points (3G, 3A), Jeff Ratcliffe with five points (3G, 2A), and Keith Cromwell with five points (1G, 4A).
THE LEADER BOARD
Fifth-year forward Dan Marohl is the Wings' leading point scorer with 27 points (8G, 19A), followed by Tom Marechek with 25 points (15G, 10A), Keith Cromwell with 21 points (7G, 14A), Jeff Ratcliffe with 18 points (12G, 6A).
Goaltender Dallas Eliuk has a 12.75 goals against average and a 79.7% save percentage in four games played. Nick Schroeder holds a 16.4 GAA and has a 65.5% save percentage in three games played.
BRZESKI OUT INDEFINITELY
Wings' defenseman Rich Brzeski is out of the lineup due to a torn ACL in his knee. The timeline for Brzeski's return is still yet to be determined.
