Philadelphia Wings defenseman Paul Cantabene will play his 100th National Lacrosse League regular season game at the First Union Center tomorrow against the Rochester Knighthawks at 8 p.m. Cantabene is the Wings' second leading scorer through five games this season with 21 points (11G, 12A). The Wings acquired the ten-year indoor lacrosse veteran on September 27, 2003 in a trade with the Colorado Mammoth.
"The entire team is thrilled to see Paul reach this milestone wearing a Wings uniform," said Head Coach Adam Mueller. "To play in 100 games in this league reflects the toughness, determination, and skill that Paul is all about. Having played with Paul early in his career, it has been a pleasure watching him improve his game every year."
During Cantabene's NLL career he has seen playing time with the Washington Power, Pittsburgh CrosseFire, and Baltimore Thunder. Cantabene has amassed 263 points (97G, 166A) and 184 penalty minutes in the NLL. He also served as the Captain of the Washington Power in their inaugural season in 200-2001. Cantabene resides in Baltimore, MD and is the Assistant Coach of the University of Maryland Men's Lacrosse Team.
