WICHITA, KS- The Wichita Wingnuts defeated the Kansas City T-Bones 8-1 in an exhibition game at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium on Thursday afternoon.

Cortes tripled off the right field wall leading off the bottom of the fifth and came home on Workman's RBI groundout to first base.

Kansas City scratched out its lone run in the top of the eighth on an RBI single from Gabriel Suarez.
