
Wingnuts Job Fair this Saturday

WICHITA, KS- The Wichita Wingnuts, proud member of the American Association of Professional Baseball (AA), will hold a job fair for the 2008 season this Saturday at Lawrence Dumont Stadium.
Interviews will be conducted for the multiple seasonal game day positions, including concession workers, cooks, stand managers, usher-tainers, ticket takers, parking lot attendees and more. Interested applicants should appear in person at the stadium entrance between 9:00 a.m. and Noon.
Following the job fair, the Wingnuts will hold National Anthem auditions on the field at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. Complete rules and suggestions for the anthem tryouts can be found here: www.wichitawingnuts.com/tryouts.html.
The Wingnuts will also hold their second tryout camp for the 2008 team next Saturday, April 12th. Registration is from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at the main gate. The cost is $50 per player and each attendee will receive an agenda for the day as well as an assigned number. Camp begins at 11:30 a.m. and the end time will be based on the number of participants.
There is no pre-registration and all players must bring their own gear. Water, bats and balls will be provided. The tryouts will cover hitting, pitching, defense, running and arm strength.
Wichita's newest baseball team will begin their inaugural season of play on May 7th, when they host the Sioux City Explorers for a three-game set at Lawrence Dumont Stadium. For more information or to order tickets, please call our office at 264-GOAL or visit our website at www.wichitawingnuts.com.
