Shiner Bock "Beer-for-a-Buck" returns for every Tuesday night, with Shiner Bock beers available for just one dollar, courtesy of Standard Beverage.

"Weenie Wednesdays", another fan favorite from last season, returns as a mid-week promotion. Hot dogs will cost just $1.25 throughout the entire game, courtesy of Indian Hills Meat and Poultry. "Thirsty Thursdays" return for the following night, with all domestic draft beer and soda available for just one dollar all night. Each Thursday, with the exception of opening night, will also see the return of the Wingnuts' Home Run Derby. Fans have the opportunity to actually step onto the field after the game and prove to their friends whether or not they can hit one out of Lawrence-Dumont Stadium. Basham's Rent to Own gives Wingnuts' fans another opportunity to take swings on the field with their "Bash'em With the Big Boys Promotion". Fans can enter at any of Basham's three locations to win a round of live batting practice with Wingnuts players. Two fans will be selected each month.

Postgame autograph sessions with the Wingnuts return following every Friday home game. Fridays also feature special events, appearances, and giveaway items. Another Wichita tradition continues following every Saturday home game, as fans will be treated to a first class fireworks extravaganza.

The fun begins on May 14th when the Wingnuts open the season. The first 5,000 fans through the gates receive a 2009 Wingnuts Magnet Schedule with a postgame fireworks show right after the Wingnuts' match versus the Lincoln Saltdogs.

In addition to the weekly promotions, the Wingnuts have a number of great one-time events lined up throughout the year. The Wingnuts offer their first ever bobblehead promotion when Big Fish Bail Bonds presents "Kevin Hooper Bobblehead Night" on June 26th. The Wingnuts will attempt to break their all-time attendance record of 8,225 when Baker University presents "Pack the Park Night" on June 27th. On July 24th, the world famous "Super Fan" will be on hand for in-game entertainment. The Wingnuts host their first "Bark in the Park" event on July 26th, presented by Newman University. August 20th features a "Wings" and "Nuts" pre-game party, hosted by Channel 963 and 107.3 The Road. The Wingnuts host their second annual Baseball Card Giveaway on August 28th.

On May 27th, the Wingnuts host "Guaranteed Rainout Night". If there is no rain, everyone in attendance receives a free ticket to the Wingnuts game on May 28th. On June 5th, "Rally", a reknowned mascot, brings his act to Wichita. The following night, "Multi-Cultural Night" returns to Wichita, presented by Midwest Transplant Network. Multicultural Night celebrates the diverse cultures of the Wichita community. Pre and post game activities will take place, along with a multitude of cultural booths, performances, and special guest appearances.

The decrease in gas prices allows fans to win at the ballpark as well. On July 28th, the Wingnuts host "Gas Prices = Ticket Prices" where the price of one gallon of gas gets you into the ballpark. "Awful Night" makes its long awaited return on July 9th, presented by Brand Plumbing.

Two day games are scheduled for Wednesday, June 17th and Wednesday, July 29th. Both contests begin at 12:05 p.m. and are great for both a business luncheon or day camp event.

Throughout the season, fans will also have the chance to snag some free tickets with several "Buy-In Nights" on the schedule, hosted at various local businesses.

Though the Wingnuts will be out of town for Independence Day, an NBC contest will take place at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium on July 4th with a fireworks show afterward.

The Wingnuts open their second season on Thursday, May 14th when they host the Lincoln Saltdogs at 7:05 p.m. Individual tickets are now on sale at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium. Season, group, and picnic packages are also on sale. For more information, call the Wingnuts' office at (316) 264-4625.
